Florida Open Carry Law Takes Effect Sept. 25 | What Gun Owners Need to Know

Beginning September 25, Florida’s new open carry regulation goes into impact, permitting anybody legally permitted to personal a firearm to brazenly carry it in public. Whereas Florida joins 38 different states with related legal guidelines, officers stress that limitations nonetheless apply.

Open carry is prohibited in courthouses, authorities buildings, polling locations, and personal companies that select to limit firearms. Hillsborough County Sheriff Grady Judd reminds gun homeowners that refusing to go away a property after being requested to disarm might lead to felony armed trespassing fees.

Specialists urge Floridians to coach themselves completely, as errors can have critical authorized penalties. Gun rights advocates count on extra companies to place up “no firearms” indicators, and open carry fees are already being dropped in Hillsborough County.
