An opinion piece by Free Speech For Individuals’s senior advisor for election safety, Susan Greenhalgh, has prompted authorized consultants at Democracy Defenders Fund to hunt an investigation into probably improper or illegal actions by the U. S. Election Help Fee (EAC).Â
The oped was printed November 4, 2025 in Democracy Docket and outlined considerations that the EAC could also be planning to decertify voting programs improperly and unlawfully on the behest of Donald Trump with a purpose to disrupt elections.Â
In an in depth letter to the company’s Inspector Normal, legal professionals at Democracy Defenders Fund fleshed out the considerations and urged the IG to analyze for potential violations of EAC coverage, the Assist America Vote Act of 2002, and the Administrative Procedures Act. The letter was signed by former Ambassador Norm Eisen; Virginia Canter, Ethics and Anticorruption Chief Counsel; and Diamond Brown, senior authorized counsel for Democracy Defenders Fund.Â
