I lately acquired two AR rifles… a Ruger Harrier, and an HM Protection Stealth MS5 suppressed gun. I wanted a approach to transport them to my vary and to have someplace to maintain them once they had been out of the protected. I believe I discovered an effective way to try this… a GPS Double Bolt Rifle Case.
This $120 twin case is made for bolt-action, scoped rifles, but it surely works very properly with semi-autos, as I discovered. The “bolt” a part of the title refers to the truth that it’s barely bigger than circumstances designed for ARs, to accommodate longer rifles with scopes. It is available in two sizes, 42 and 50 inches, and likewise two colours, black or tan. I bought the shorter, black mannequin.
Right here’s what GPS has to say about it…
Double bolt rifle case
Detachable shoulder strap
Stowable backpack straps
Holds 2 scoped rifles
Velcro tiedowns for every rifle
Padded rifle separator
Two massive gear pockets with Molle webbing panels
Out there in 42” and 50”
Out there in Black and Tan
Fast-Entry Pull Handles
There are a couple of causes that I like this case. They embrace:
– The truth that the shoulder straps are detachable. I don’t carry rifles on my again, though some do. This case can go both means.

It has room for 2 full-sized scoped bolt-action rifles. Though I positioned ARs in it and the HM gun has a shorter barrel, there was loads of room for longer barrels, because the Harrier proved. I’d haven’t any bother carrying my Ruger Scout 308 bolt rifle in it, as properly.
It has zipper pockets for equipment, magazines, and so on.
You may decide to both use or not use the 4 Velcro rifle tie-down straps included.
The middle panel has ample padding to maintain your rifles separated.

The sunshine grey tie-downs are seen right here and within the prime shot.

There are a number of slotted loops to carry tools.
My favourite vary bag is made by GPS, and this rifle case is rising on me. They make good-quality gadgets (a part of me desires so as to add “Clark” from “Christmas Trip”) at affordable costs. I’ve overloaded and in any other case abused that vary bag for a couple of years, and it’s nonetheless nearly as good as new, as is the GPS double-rifle case my son owns.
He was impressed with it even earlier than I began reviewing them. If you’re searching for a great way to accommodate or transport a few lengthy weapons once they’re out of the protected, you may need to test this case out.
