Lee Wong, an Asian-American and former soldier, lifts his shirt to disclose scars he sustained whereas serving with the US army. Wong, 69, an elected official in West Chester, Ohio was talking in a city corridor assembly concerning the racism he has confronted in his adopted homeland. Addressing the assembly, Wong stood up and lifted his singlet, displaying giant scars on his chest. ‘Right here is my proof. That is sustained in my service within the US army. Is that this patriot sufficient?’ he requested.
