Junior U.S. Shotgun Workforce Clenches 4 Medals at World Cup

COLO SPRGS, CO (July 17, 2024) – The junior U.S. shotgun workforce made 4 podium appearances on the 2024 Worldwide Capturing Sports activities Federation (ISSF) Porpetto Junior World Cup July 9-16.

Carey Garrison, of Crossville, Tennessee, topped the rostrum with a gold medal in Girls’s Lure. Garrison, a 2024 CAT Video games gold medalist in Girls’s Workforce Lure, shot a 114/125 within the qualification spherical to earn her spot within the remaining. Within the remaining, she outshot Sofia Goria, of Italy, who completed second. Garrison shot a remaining rating of 40/50 to win her champion title.

Benjamin Keller, a Johnstown, Colorado, native, claimed one other gold medal for USA as the lads’s skeet champion. Keller, the 2023 and 2022 Males’s Skeet junior world champion, shot a 124/125 within the qualification spherical, touchdown him within the remaining. Keller shot 56/60 within the remaining, triumphing over Bhavtegh Gill, of India, who completed second.

Jordan Sapp, of Gilbert, Arizona, claimed the bronze medal in Males’s Skeet, becoming a member of Keller on the rostrum. Sapp shot an unimaginable 125/125 within the qualification spherical, breaking the junior world report that hadn’t been touched in over a decade. The rating additionally tied the open age class world report, a rating that three-time Olympic gold medalist Vincent Hancock has shot quite a lot of instances. Within the remaining, Sapp beat out Tomas Vaitekunas, of Lithuania, who completed fourth.

Madeline Corbin, of Reedsburg, Wisconsin, earned the fourth medal for the U.S. along with her third place end in Girls’s Skeet. Corbin secured her spot within the finals by taking pictures a 116/125 within the qualification spherical. Within the remaining, Corbin beat out Adriana Zajickova, of Slovakia, who positioned fourth. Corbin’s teammate Alishia “Fayth” Layne joined her within the remaining and completed fifth total.
