Barrett Firearms’ as soon as common REC7 DI rifle is about to hit the market in summer season 2024 after a manufacturing pause as a result of MK 22 contract.

The MK 22 contract was a virtually $50 million, five-year contract Barrett acquired from the U.S. Military in 2021 to provide their MK 22 Multi-Position Adaptive Design (MRAD) rifle to the department for use because the Military’s new sniper rifle. To ramp up for the big, high-profile contract, Barrett needed to devoted a lot of its manufacturing capability to the MK 22 and put a pause on civilian manufacturing of the REC7 DI.

The REC7 DI, initially launched in 2016, was common amongst AR followers for its reliability and precision. It contains a mid-length gasoline system for reliability with or and not using a suppressor. The rifle’s higher and decrease receivers are machined from 7075-T6 aluminum, and all aluminum components have Kind 3 hardcoat anodizing.

The REC7 DI comes with a chilly hammer-forged chrome-lined barrel, Magpul furnishings, an ALG QMS set off and an prolonged slimline Barrett handguard with M-LOK accent mounting slots.
