On Jan. 16, 2023, a lodge clerk armed with a handgun managed to scare away a robber who was armed with a rifle at a lodge off the Katy Freeway final month, in keeping with the Houston Police Division.
It occurred round 7 a.m. at a lodge off the Katy Freeway close to Freeway 6, HPD officers mentioned.
Police mentioned the suspect approached the counter carrying a rifle and demanded cash from the money drawer. Because the robber climbed over-the-counter, the clerk pulled out her personal handgun, scaring the suspect and inflicting him to run away, in keeping with HPD.
Police described the suspect as being about 20 to 25 years previous, about 6 ft, 2 inches to six ft, 4 inches tall and 150 to 180 kilos. He was carrying a blue shirt and blue denims and white footwear.
