USA Shooting Earns Nine Medals at First International Competitions of 2025

COLO SPRGS, CO (Jan 30, 2025) – USA Taking pictures rifle athletes kicked off the brand new 12 months by incomes a complete of 9 medals on the first two worldwide competitions of 2025, The Meyton Cup and the H&N Cup. The spectacular 9 medals earned on the annual competitions exceeds final’s 12 months’s complete of six.

The group first gained a complete of seven medals on the Meyton Cup, in Innsbruck, Austria, Jan. 17-21. The group then competed within the H&N Cup in Munich, Germany, Jan. 21-26 the place they picked up their last two medals of their European competitors journey. Each annual competitions include solely 10m Air Rifle and Pistol occasions.

On the primary day of the Meyton Cup all 4 of the junior athletes shot qualification scores that landed them spots within the Junior Males’s, Ladies’s, and Blended Workforce Air Rifle finals. Tyler Wee and Mackenzie Kring went on to win the primary medal of the Meyton Cup with a silver in Junior Blended Air Rifle Workforce. Makenzie Larson and Jack Ogoreuc joined them on the rostrum with a bronze medal within the occasion.

Wee added to his assortment by securing a silver medal in Junior Males’s Air Rifle on day two. Larson racked up two extra medals on the Meyton Cup with a gold in Junior Ladies’s Air Rifle and a silver in Open Ladies’s Air Rifle.

Peter Fiori, who set a brand new nationwide report of 635.5 in Open Males’s Air Rifle qualification, teamed up with Tokyo 2020 Olympic silver medalist Mary Tucker in Open Blended Workforce Air Rifle. The duo shot their means onto the rostrum the place they claimed a bronze medal. Alison Weisz, a Tokyo 2020 Olympian, introduced house the final medal of the Meyton Cup with a silver in Open Ladies’s Air Rifle.

On the H&N Cup, Lucas Kozeniesky, a Tokyo 2020 Olympic silver medalist, made his means onto the rostrum with a bronze in Open Males’s Air Rifle. Larson claimed her last medal of the journey with a gold in Junior Ladies’s Air Rifle.
