WATCH NOW: Separating Fact from Fiction Regarding Election Security at Def-Con 2025

WATCH NOW: Separating Fact from Fiction Regarding Election Security at Def-Con 2025
Share on FacebookShare on Twitter

At Free Speech For Folks, we work each day to battle again to guard democracy and the appropriate to vote. Meaning defending everybody’s proper to solid a poll, and guaranteeing that each poll is counted as solid.

That’s why we co-hosted a significant symposium on election safety on August 8-9, 2025, with the Election Integrity Basis (EIF) on the DEF CON Voting Village in Las Vegas to confront the information about election safety.

At FSFP, we’ve lengthy fought for safer, clear, and auditable voting gear. We all know that our voting system distributors are poorly regulated, that our voting techniques have vital safety weaknesses, and that corrupt election officers can and have enabled insider assaults.

However since Donald Trump claimed falsely and with out proof that the 2020 election was rigged, there’s been a communications backlash to attempt to counter these false claims by overstating the safety of our election techniques, and the energy and effectiveness of our post-election audits.

As our democracy is on the brink, we can not afford to deceive ourselves concerning the true state of our election infrastructure that counts our votes. We can not afford to disregard well-documented safety breaches and identified system vulnerabilities due to political posturing or well-meaning campaigns to construct voter confidence. We have to confront the information.

This symposium separates reality from fiction and supplies a clear-eyed understanding of our election techniques’ strengths and weaknesses for the press, public, and different organizations defending democracy. Voters have the appropriate to know when there are authentic issues about our voting techniques. That’s why this symposium is so necessary – we have to perceive and confront the issues so we are able to successfully tackle them for 2026 and past.

You’ll be able to watch the complete symposium by way of the video hyperlinks right here.
